so i blew my motor up a few weeks ago and am in the process of rebuilding it right now it is a a local machine shop Opel engineering(built my dads big blocks) so hear is the list.

eagle rods
wisco pistons
acl race bearing
bored,decked,align honed, balanced
arp main,head studs
still deciding on my head (local shop will not o-ring head or buschur for the o-ring)
hks 272
ported intake manifold and tb(maybe vsr depending on budget)
1000c injectors
custom fuel system
hta 35r
already have new trans and clutch(will not last going to upgrade tc when clutch goes)
stock ecu

Sounds great....I have a question for you. How much are these guys charging you to build your motor. I want to know because if i buy pistons, rods, bearings and everything needed to build my motor im curious as to how much a machine shop would charge to build it? Just the bottom end.

Just curious, since you're in Chicago, why not have AMS build the block, since they're local? Also, with a built block, I would budget for a standalone EMS.
