Your 60ft. is definately getting after it, but sounds like the rest of your driving needs a little help.

Can you post up the run? With 1.6x 60fts. I am going 10.60's on straight pump gas.

The 1-2 shift is critical. If you are slow on that or you bog it in 2nd, the run is done. Are you letting it spin through 1st and letting the speed catch up to the RPM's then shifting into 2nd or once it starts spinning in 1st, you immediately go to 2nd and it bogs out??

My 60s arent all that good! THat was by far the best run. Most of my 60s are around a 1.85-1.95. Myt 60s are what is killing me, after that is pretty good. My MPH got better every run last night. `My final run was the 137 pass. I am slowly getting there. I believe that if we would have been ar nborwalk last night that I would have easily gone 10s.

I just have to keep getting to the track and practicing. I know that it will come very soon.

I think what Slo is trying to tell you is the 1.6 60' was good enough for a 10sec pass. Now it is possible that your shifting style is the cause for you to still be in the 11s...now what you can do is compare you slip with Slorice or Vwjeff when they trap 135+ and you probably narrow it down.

I'm really impressed with your trap speeds as it really shows your car is making good power on pump gas. Hope to see you run your first 10sec pass on pump soon...

Congrats again!

I would seriously reconsider running your car at Marion. There are major potholes on the shutoff and I would not want to be going 130mph+ hitting one.

Congrats on the great car!

^^BigBadQuattro hit the nail on the head.

Here is my run

Code:
60ft 1.6709
330ft 4.5997
1/8 ET 6.9660
1/8 MPH 101.51
1000ft 8.9480
1/4 ET 10.6470
1/4 MPH 135.07
I also went 11.08 @ 134.35 on a 1.89 60ft. Looks like the old saying of one tenth in the 60 ft. is worth two tenths in the 1/4 mile is true.

What does your 137MPH run look like?

Picking up 34mph in the second half is sick.

I will post up the times tomorrow. All my slips are out in the car and I dont feel like going out and getting them.

I would have gone 10s on the 11.0 run if I would have no lift shifted. The last run I spun pretty bad coming off the line when I ran the 11.04 at 137, I think that my 60 was like a 1.8 or something.

Im averaging picking up almost 36 MPH in the 2nd half! Its out of control!

Im going back to 42 again tomorrow! I was supposed to go to our schools event until I found out LaRue is worse than last year with the pot holes. So Im just going to 42 and going to keep digging for those 10s!

Brian, you did an excelent job the other night. Keep driving the car the way you are doing, dont let everyone tell you how to drive. Seems eveyone is an expert on driving, but the only thing that will help you is practice. You just keep shifting the way you are untill YOU get comfortable, there is no need to go out and try power shifting and missing gears on every other pass, work on being consistent first.
