spearco intercooler?

just wondering how the sparco intercooler is... i've been looking around and some local guy wants to sell me one... i've never seen or heard of a sparco intercooler for the evo... he's giving it to me for a good deal its just i've never heard of it... anything helpfully would be great thanks

reason he's selling is because he went ams... but he has a 2.4 built motor and a 35r.. i'm just wondering if this intercooler is any good... i'm not planing to be over 400-500 whp... its just if its better then stock?

Spearco makes great intercoolers, I'm not sure if you need it though.

if you could go more in to depth with that? like the stock intercooler will hold up just fine... its just i've heard i won't be able to run 100% meth because it'll cause heat soaks... i'd have to run 5050 to keep it alittle cooler? thanks

Coming from the subie world, a lot of people upgrade their intercoolers when the stock one is perfectly fine. I don't know at what point the stock evo intercooler is a problem though.

SPearco has been in the business for a long time. Their cores are used in hundreds of applications. They know what they are doing.
