GSC S2 idle

I've searched and found sparse amounts of info, maybe I'm looking in the wrong areas...

I am sick of my idle with my 272's, not s2's as title states (typo). The cold start sounds like a top fuel dragster which is fun for a while but I really liked my car when it idles a bit more civilly. Once it warms up its still a bit "rump rump rump rump", a bit too much for my liking ... i like to fly under the radar so to speak

Will cam gears smooth my idle out as much as I'd like?
I know this is sort of a n00b question so thanks for the replies. (solution - post 36)

No, you need to tune the your idle settings to get a smoother, quieter idle.

You can use cam gears, and they will smooth out the idle, but you will shift the power band some too.

John has a basemap on my setup with S2's and my idle is fine. I would contact him about it, he can smooth it out im sure.

Also, I had the same issue at first but come to realize I had a huge boost leak at my TB. Test for boost leaks!

I don't have a wideband on the car, but during tuning it was in the 16-17:1 afr at idle on the dyno.

I doubt John would tune a 16-17 a/f at idle. You need to get a wideband man.
