If I tuned a car built like this on the stock ECU the owner would probably start a thread saying I sucked. I can't have that! haha

Making 500+ WHP on Pump gas makes these sky high gas prices a little more bearable lol

The car performs awesome! Seemed to have good gas mileage on the way home too.

The car is incredibly responsive and smooth. because of the torque and fast spoolup the car feels amazing. Feels like your in a human slingshot everytime you press that gas pedal lol

Good Job Dave with the tune and thanks again

You are very welcome! Thanks for driving up all the way from Tennessee to have me tune it. I appreciate it.

I'm actually very glad to see you made it home. I was worried about the throwout bearing, looks like you have some work to do............again

If you want us to look at 3rd gear while the trans it out just send it up.

This is an interesting set up on this car.

John do you plan on changing out the restrictive .63 housing for a better flowing .82?

Congrats on the car man

VWJeff, he can't. The header he is running won't allow that turbine housing to be used, I asked him and he said he was told it won't fit.

Nah I would if I could though. I really wish I could man. I asked AMS about that and they said they use some sort of custom made housings from Precision and that they don't offer them in the .82

BUT I still like this setup a lot. The car feels awesome!!!

Good job David!! You've proven to have incredible AEM tuning skills again and again.

I would like to know, do you feel that a car from 6300 feet elevation tuned at your shop would be just as efficient back home as it was on your dyno or would it have to be tweaked somewhat when it returned?

yeah I made it fine. The car did fine once it was in gear and I was on the interstate for most of the way. Thanks for letting me get dynoed even though I had that problem.

Yeah I'm used to having some work to do on the evo. Actually kinda like doing it though. the Evo definetly keeps me busy, it's almost like an addiction for me to be modding/fixing the car

But hell, the way I see it is that cars isnt that bad of an addiction compared to other things ya could be addicted to lol

Yes, I can tune a car here and it will work well at high elevation. I've done quite a few builds like that. At any given time there are usually more cars here from out of state than from in state. The AFR's might need a minor tweak or two and I can do that if you send me a log once you get home. Recently though a car that was tuned here on 93, when taken back to where it came from, had some pretty substantial knock issues. The 93 octane from his home state sucks. He bought some Rocket 93 in a can and put it in, no more knock.

I agree on the addiction although at times I think an addiction to drugs would be cheaper, if nothing else you might die early and then stop spending! haha I have the same addiction. If I'm not working on it, I'm cleaning mine.
