Dosen't matter! I found it easier to install the intake that way because of the heat shield!

cool to know, would be nice to be able to get hold of one of those heat shields by themselves, hey does the stock air dam just rest on the heat shield? if so does it move around much or is there a supplied way of affixing it some how?

I spoke to AEM yesterday about this kit and the head engineer claimed that it makes approx. high 4's (4.7 whp) gain the on the dyno. They claim that a dyno chart will be up at their site veru soon.

4.7 whp .... I'm waiting to see what Injen comes up with. I also spoke with Injen yesterday and they are very close to a finished product as well .... Injen claims that with their evo intake kit, they are shooting for the same gains as the Eclipse DSM .... approx 12 whp.

So how does the car feel now Lewis? We have close to the same mod, so your thoughts on this new intake kit would be great. Just a 'noticeable' gain doesn't cut the mustard for me .... for $200, we should have close to 10 at wheels man.

Okay this intake does make the car pull ALOT harder. Aem tested it when i only had grounding wires. Now my mods are THIS:
Aem Intake
grounding wires
3" full turbo back that includes Test Pipe
Greddy Type S Blow valve (recir)
Tuned ecu by technoSquare

So of course my gains are going to be more than what AEM claims

Nice pics, Louis! I like the heat shield. Can't wait to see it in person.

Hopefully I'll see you at the track today...

Hmmmm ....

That sounds more like it! Still would like to see some dyno results though.
