My Evo is shooting out smoke
My evo is shooting out white and black smoke, but mainly white.
I was wondering if someone can tell me what might be the problem.
I know i didnt give much information about my car so I know it's kind of hard to say, but maybe someone might still know a reason why this is happening.

what he said. i will put into more detail.
blue is oil- mean bad piston ring.
white- head gasket is not sealing.
check your coolant reservoir and radiator for oil spot. Take the dip stock out and look for milky color. do the same with the oil cap, look down inside the valve cover. doo this when the engine is cold/been sitting
Also take off the hose that goes form the left side of the valve cover to the intake pipe "Blow pipe" turn on the car and see what color it's blowing out.

Just curious, what kinds of mods do you have on your car? Sorry, but it really does sound like a head gasket. That white smoke is all too familiar to me (back in the old Datsun 210 days). Good luck.

Heres what you should do for a complete diagnosis.
1. Empty contents of your coolant system (from radiator) into clear plastic pitcher for examination. If you find oil its your headgasket.
2. Empty contents of your engine oil (from oil pan) into clear pastic pitcher for examination. If you find coolant its your headgasket.
3. Check your intake tract for excessive amounts of oil. If there is a lot of oil you might have blown the turbo, or piston rings.
4. Do a compression check (or leak down test is even better) to determine if valves, headgasket, or piston rings are blown.

i had the oil return line get pinched off in my aftermarket turbo set up. it pissed out white smoke to the point i clouded my whole block. oil dumped into the exhaust since it had no where else to go. check some oil lines to.
