I can't see why it wouldn't work fine. I know of a member who replaced 2g coil packs on his Evo VIII, and found them to be an upgrade. I as well think $700 is a lot for us 'poor' owners, and would love to see a cheaper option...

ok you build a system utilizing 300m coils and try to sell them. Of course they will have to work first. They won't work without a built in igniter to tell them when to fire. I won't get into how to build a system...I don't to tutorials. Thanks for your useless post though

I guess my point that if 2g coils can work on Evo's, why can't a COP setup for a 2g work on an Evo...I understand there are differences, and no I wouldn't know how to build an igniter, just raising a point. Sorry if I am incorrect...
I am not knocking your product, either. Hopefully it did not seem that way!

I suppose it could be built cheaper.....but that has been done before
We use Mil-spec wire....this stuff is found in F-16's, 747's and even the space shuttle.
That grey stuff covering the wires is also Mil-spec and rated to 392deg F. If under your hood of your Evo got that hot you wouldn't be in it

Did you read my post?? 300m coils 4 x $45 =$180
non-cdi coils 4 x $120=$480.00
ALL of our systems utilize the best quality wire and parts. Maybe you should start building some cheaper systems. When you want quality you don't go thru the drive thru...
Here is another Spark Tech equipped car this one happens to be the fastest for the 08' season so far...I have a funny feeling this weekend it will even be quicker

I did start it, the idle seams smoother for sure!
My plugs are gapped way down to .021 should I open them up to .027-.028?
I will take it for a spin tonight.
