Not meaning to hijack, just trying to get advice on this as well...
I'm going to be running the following modifications, I currently have HKS 264/272 cams on stock evo 8 turbo but I'm going to be upgrading to either Kelford 272 or 280's. Any thoughts on which would be better?? The car is not a daily driver or a straight drag car but will probably see some decent track time after the modifications. Are the 280's too aggressive for this turbo? Thanks!

The GSC S2s also work well with a large turbo an unported head, but they are better suited to take advantage of a ported head than the JUNs. The GSCs should be a little more forgiving than the JUNs for street use.
The Kelfords have slightly less duration than the S2s and JUNs, and the M2s a bit less than the Kelfords. Both should be good with either small or moderately large turbo, and will work well with a ported head.
From cam specs (lift, duration, and lobe centerlines), this is how the picture clarifies itself:

This is only an indicator of what the profile seems designed to accomplish.
The HKS 272 is a very forgiving cam that works well with factory head and valvetrain. It's a good street cam, but is outclassed when it comes to a serious power effort.

The M2s have about 20 degrees less overall duration as compared to the others, and a relatively advanced intake cam centerline. It looks to me as though this cam is designed to be matched with their head, work with a variety of turbo sizes, and emphasize street performance as opposed to all-out peak power (e.g. drag racing work).

$1200 i think includes springs and retainers with the cams. I'm pretty sure just the JUN camshafts are around 800 or so. Can anyone answer my question about getting the S2's unless I do all the headwork then get the JUNS. Is it really not advisable to run Juns with just head studs, springs, and retainers.
If i was you i would get the the juns!!!!!!! i did alot of "homework" before i got cams for my 9 and jun is the way to go

It can only as far as its lift, which is 10.8mm. This is about where a factory head goes dead, which leads one to believe that the JUNs were designed around a factory head.
A competently ported head will see greater airflow beyond 10.8mm lift. Cams like the GSCs and Tomei are able to take advantage of this because they give greater lift.
This doesn't mean that the JUNs are not capable cams, because they certainly are. What it means is that for certain setups, there is room for improvement. As to what difference this makes when the rubber hits the road depends upon a variety of things.
