Camshafts for Evo red... idle, revlimit, power
I'm trying to get 500whp on the stock block with the evo red. Is Jun 272 or GSC S2's with kiggly racings springs and retainers a good idea. I have a ix so I'm assuming a smooth idle won't be to hard to tune for. I was wondering if this is a good upgrade path and if that kind of power will be okay with a stock bottom end and only spings retainers and bolts on the head? I also would like to be able to rev to 8500 or 9000 as well. Sorry for all the questions.

I would def say s2's cause ive already got a car there! As far as springs, i would buy supertect dual vavle springs. Because they will let you rev to 10k rpm, not sure if i would go that far on stock bottom end but if you ever build it you would have them. You will def need arp head studs also with this turbo if your gonna turn the boost up! Dont be sorry for questions, its better to mod it right!

first off, is this english?
u dont want to go with dual springs because of the excesive wear on the valvetrain unless u plan on running really high in the RPM range. i would say 8500 is just fine with single springs. the red will die off well b4 10k as well, and u are crazy if u are running 10k on a stock bottom end!!!
