I think the Red is going to be a minor upgrade to the Green on 93 octane and likely not worth the 1700 bucks, but if you're running meth/race gas it's going to be a nice bump in power. It's not going to touch the HTA 35R's potential though so if you can live with the later spool I'd go with that, it'll be stronger on pump and race gas.

I went from the green ~ 400awhp at 26psi on 93 octane to the HTA 35R ~500awhp at 30psi on 93 octane with the same mods and it's making that 100+awhp hp where it counts for drag racing (above 5500rpm). As you can see by the chart the HTA 35R caught the Evogreen and it was all over but the cryin after that

Well, in theory it could be a good bang for the buck if you had a IX core to send in for $1100. After I sell my IX stocker + forge WGA, I expect to be in mine for about $1400, which isnt bad if its a reasonable bump in power for the money, vs going all out $3k-$4k for a real kit.

I went from the 16g 10.5 to the green and was disappointed in the measly 35awhp gain for the 2000+ invested However, had I been using race gas and way more boost it would have been much more impressive. I think someone going from the 16g to the Red is going to see a worthwhile bump in power for the money.

Phalse I hear ya, going to the 35R is twice the price which is difficult to swallow, hopefully the red will give you some nice gains!

Mr Phalse, I have to admit that I am somewhat surprised that you would buy anything from FP after making yourself so clear on so many occasions about your feelings towards FP and our products. Mellon you really thing this is just a MINOR upgrade from the green no way...the turbine wheel is just as big as yours.....yea i know i know the stock housing is gona choke it up blah blah but the red is anything but a MINOR upgrade from the green

i think its weird the fp hta 35r is a hundred dollars less then the evo red.

The Densos do flow at 690cc even though they are advertised as 720cc.

With alky, depending on nozzle size, I would imagine the 720's *might* be ok with the red depending on boost, flow and AFR's.



When I had Denso 720 (flowed at 690), with a 11.5 AFR, 24lbs at 7k, it was running approx 93% IDC reported in Evoscan, evoscan also logged 41 lb/min

Not really. Much more work involved in the Red manufacture.

The HTA325R involves simply replacing a stock Garrett compressor wheel with the HTA wheel, with the rest being factory Garrett.

The Red involves a complete turbo disassembly, replacement of both the turbine and compressor wheels, modifying the housings, rebalancing, etc. etc. etc.

Thanks Chris,appreciate it.I've read your thread on MLR about the gt35r and your drag run on stock ecu.What I'm worried about is the fact that I'm stayin with stock short block and don't know if it'll hold together even for sometime at least to get use of the bigger turbo.

considering they flow 690 cc / min, 11.5 afr:

690 * 4 = 2760 cc / min
2760 * 0.74 (fuel specific gravity) = 2.045 kg / min = 4.5 lb / min
4.5 * 11.5 = 51.75 lb/min


based on the above, they would be enough for 51.75 lb/min if they do flow 690 at 100% duty cycle, given 11.5 as afr.


for 41 lb/min, they should be more at 80%. Not sure why got 93 on evoscan, my guess is it has something to do with injector scaling

It's installed. I had a exhaust parts mismatch and had to order a different downpipe. The wideband bungs should be TIG'd in on Monday, then the hardware will be done. The AEM map is in progress, and we'll be good to go on normal gas. A few fuel system changes will be needed to get enough fuel volume capacity for the switch to E85...
