Whining, but definitely not the usual TC whine

THis is gonna be long with all the info I can provide, but the bolded paragraph highlights the noise I'm hearing. I've read most of the TC whine threads and none seem to have experienced the same type as I am

Background: I'm the first owner of the car, it's never been modded and never been launched. It just rolled 30K miles has had TC/Trans/Rear Diff fluids changed twice (once at 12K miles, and then again at 21K for the TC/Rear Diff and at 27K for the trans). Good god, I guess it's time to change the TC/Rear Diff fluid again, didn't realize it's been 9k miles already

Here comes the problem. The whine. It's not upon acceleration, it's not upon deceleration. It comes when I'm slowing down. Clutch in downshift, as I let the clutch out just before it grabs is when I hear this whine. Then and only then just before the clutch engages/as it begins to engage but before my RPM's begin to go up

After the first fluid change (when I did TC/Rear Diff/Trans) the noise went away. It slowly came back after around 1k miles.

Next change like I said, I just did the TC/Rear Diff and again the whine went away with the change, makes me want to rule out a trans problem. The noise did come back sooner this time though and over the last couple thousand miles has seemed to have gotten worse. It used to only happen going from 5th to 4th and 4th to 3rd as well as only itermittently (I tried having the dealer look at it when it was in for another issue, but we couldn't replicate the sound) Now it's happening downshifting to 4th, 3rd, and second, and once in a while I'm also hearing it when shifting from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th. I'm going to call the dealer Monday and see if I can get it in, in the next week or so. But just wanted opinions from people here.

In addition, my trans has been really iffy when downshifting on decel lately also, especially trying to get it into 3rd. I'm not sure if the problems are related or not, but would really like some opinions.

Also as far as fluids go, 1st change was redline for all. 2nd change was redline for the trans and Diaqueen for the TC/Rear Diff

Ya, t-case is constant and grows louder with speed.

I feel like it's the trans, especially with the notchiness of 3rd that's come about, but with the noise going away upon changing only the T-case and rear diff fluid it really makes me want to say T-Case

Yeah that's not the case. Anyways like said, I'll update once it's diagnosed and fixed by the dealer. Hooray for still having my warranty
