Will this battery work?

I want to get a smaller battery up front to get rid of some weight, plus its free. Will this work. I have 1 10" sub. IS this battery as stong or stronger than the stock battery?

CCA is one thing but getting it to drive a lot of stuff without the car running is another.

it should work just fine, but as quantum said, I wouldnt go runnin the sub and stuff without the car being on.. your alternator should be able to keep it charged ok with just one sub, unless your sportin like a 1K+ rms sub!

LOL, good point. If you have that much audio equipment, get an Optima (unless you need space).

The only reason I want to get the battery is because 1) its free and 2) ill save weight. Anybody know how many amps the stock one cranks?

This looks like a nice battery, I went and checked it out. CC amps on this one is 680.

The CC amps on the battery we use in our kit is 800. Our battery with the aluminum lower tray, SS upper hold down, both bolts and wing nuts weigh in at 17.1#'s. Easy install, nothing to fabricate. Buying just that battery will give you less CC amps and leave with trying to figure out a way to install it. Our kit is $225 and includes everything.

The EVO stock battery has no markings on it for me to find out what the CC amps is. Tym says most factory batteries are 450-500 cc amps.

Just keep in mind that it may push out the amps but the smaller batteries won't do it nearly as long, though. I have Buschur's battery on my own car. I love it. It works great and easy to install. I've never had any problems with it in normal use but it won't take a significant draw as long as the stock battery without recharging, but that's to be expected.

Cold Cranking Amps is one thing, but Amp-Hour delivery is another.

One battery might have a CCA rating of 600, but only be able to deliver 1 amp hour. Another might have a CCA of 500, but be able to deliver 10 amp hours.

CCAs will get your car started, but Amp Hours will let you run stereos and headlights when your car isn't running.

More like 28 amp minutes?

Honestly, I don't know, but I don't think it's talking about the same thing.
