If you want high HP & look stock then go Red. As far as what it takes to make your car beat another particular car is not so straight forward. From a roll it would take a lot of HP to get a Z06, but that's hardly racing in my book.

i say bump the looking stock and just go for a 42 r and just drive it daily with a 2.0...
but no really i heard the gt850r is pretty good.. spool close to a 35r.. power of a 37.. but sounds like you want a direct replacement for your stock turbo.

Stock c6 zo6 traps mid 120's. That can easily be done with a red. The turbo can do it. YOUR setup and tune will depend on whether your car traps in the high 120's. There is a lot of info already about this turbo.

It's all gonna depend on A LOT of different factors...on your setup (built motor, stock block & cams, etc., how much power your making, @ what speeds...if it is a roll race, how much your car weighs...you get the picture.
I think it could be done with about 550-600whp (the C6 Z06 weighs about 3050 pounds & ONLY has 505 @ the crank). BTW, this is coming from a former C5 owner...the car had all the bolt-ons, gears & 150 hit of N2O...closest race was with a 2006 600RR & I pulled from a 45 roll. I would estimate I had 550 crank hp & a weight of about 3200 pounds so I think that's close to a stock C6 Z06. But then again, I also had 4.10's & drag radials...
There is only one way to find out!

You're on crack if you think it would take a 600 whp evo to beat a C6 ZO6 from a roll. True 600 hp evos are high 130's - 140 trap cars. Stock c6 z's put down about 450-460 whp, and weight about 3150.
btw.... do a quick youtube search of "evo vs zo6" and the first vid gives you your answer. I know the vette is a c5 zo6 but you make the call.

This is why you should never post on Evom's. Too many mommies and daddies on this forum...
But anyway, like someone already stated, it depends on your tuner, your octane, how much boost your running. Im sure with a really good tuner with pump and meth at 29psi on a red, youll give a z06 a run for his money.

Oh and to the rest of Evom's.... Hate on haters! haha

I dont see why you have to berate the man for asking a simple quesiton. Was it poorly written? Not really, hes just asking if a given turbo will beat a given car. Sure, he could have phrased it better..
Down here at sea level, or close, I've seen c6 z06 trap from 120 on a really hot day to 126 in the cool fall air. Could a red do it? With a good tune and proper supporting hardware, yes.
All things considered though, probobly wont fare to well. If you're talking highway runs, once you go into 5th hes going to have a gear advantage over you and a hell of an aerodynamic one.
Simply put, c6 z06 is a beast, going to take alot of $$ to beat one, if you have a goal that high (because to beat it, you really need to be doing 126-128), probobly better off with a 35R.

I don't think it would beat it unless your car is trapping over 125 mph. I'd say your chances are better with a 35r. I can't describe to you the butt raping I got from a freinds z06.

The gearing doesnt really matter though because acceleration is acceleration. our 5th is there 5th and 6th combined. But a z06 does NOT give up allll the way till redline in 6th.. itll keep pulling and pulling and pulling

There was a green powered car owned by soon2bevo I believe that ran a c6z, and it stayed dead even to 120mph. He probably had 450whp and similar torque. I'm going to say 440whp should be enough to stay close or even. Anything above that will land you ahead up to 120mph. The red will put you there with 25+psi.
