C6 ZO6 vs FP RED?

Their (C6 Z06) first gear goes to like 62 mph, if you can beat their power to weight by a GOOD amount, by like 100 whp & catch him around maybe 50mph (that way it's too high for his first gear but too low to be in a good part of his second gear) & you brake boost...I don't see why it couldn't happen.
Like I said, go for it...if you lose, then go from a dig & allow him to see what the Evos look like from behind.

Depends what gear you want to roll from.
I'd say from 2nd gear (your 2nd gear) you'll still have a good chance to beat him. Also depends on the asphalt, whether or not he'll have wheel spin...
If you have a 6 speed gearbox you'll have better chances, because you won't suffer much when you go into 5th gear.
One advice, left foot break while rolling until you have like 15 psi, this will give you a nice jump on the start

At 3300ft eloevation with bolt-ons, AEM, fp green and 272hks cams, I trapped 123 on e85 with 24psi which is enough to take down a c6 z06 from a roll or a dig at this elevation...as a matter of fact, I freeway raced one and beat him by 1-2 cars up to about 140mph. Theres a reference for you...with a red at higher boost, I would have chewed him up and spit him out. The guy you posted about having the green and loosing to a c5 z06 obviously has issues of some sort or trhe vette had more than meets the eye.!

FP Red would beat the C6 Z06. My neighboor owns a nice yellow C6Z06 and we got it on. I much better then him in turns and takes me in straight but only walks me very slowlly. I am 410 whp with evo 9 trubo. With the FR Red I will take him with ease.

Also on the topic, Z06's dyno around 450-460 stock on a dynojet, but have a weight of 3130lbs/no driver, thats a ratio of 6.8lbs/1hp.
Now an Evo weighs in at 3220-3320 depending on the model lets use 3270 as a midpoint and the power of an FP RED from what I have seen could be in the 500whp range on a dynojet with high boost, so do the math and you get 6.5lbs/1hp.(This is if we don't include aerodynamics and gearing into the equation).
If you would race a STOCK Z06 from a 20-100mph roll you could probably take him, just use brake boosting to be on the safe side.
If anyone would like to correct me im ok with it, im not an expert.
