Mike and Chris, You are lucky, this is what we had to haul around. This was around 1985-86. If you think that's funny, you should have seen the printer we had to lug around. Strip charts baby...so very yestertech... you missed out on all the old technology .

Does the Haltech have any kind of knock protection?
And what's the startup routine like? Will it actually fire up like a stock ECU? Or do you have to crank it for 5 minutes like an old broke-down pickup truck?

One question, does this system comes with a speed density setup option like the AEM or do you have to buy this separate?

Since you tune all the top stand alones AEM, HKS, Haltech, Autronic who would you rate as the best and most reliable?
I believe only HKS can actually keep OBD-II characteristics and hep with inspections...
Haltech and Autronic is HUGE in Europe and they use them in the fastest and most powerful EVOs and YB Cosworth Fords...
