Wife runs an 03 Boxster S with PSS9's on it, nice but too soft for track. On my old 1G Talon TSi I ran custom made koni struts with H&R springs valved about how the megans feel to me. So its like being right back in the talon with another 100 whp and better difs! For the money I truly belive you can't beat the performance on Megans. (others here will say much different....)

That is from DLL. I'm not a dyno junkie I may never actually dyno the car. The only numbers I need to know is my 2:25 minute lap times on the 3.1 mile course.

Iphone and DLL agree around 380 at wheels and seems right for what I have done. Hope it helps.

What was that red STI's deal? There were several areas he shoulda let you pass, I guess he was being a little bit stubborn.

The rivalry will always exist.

BTW your wife is awesome.

Haha the red STI is one of my good friends, and actually he did point me by in the first safe spot to pass just took him a little bit to get the car over to the left so I could fit by. Keep in mind that was a 100+ mph area I passed him in going uphill to a blind left sweeper (100mph corner as well). He and I are joking talking right now on Facebook about all this. (most of weekends vids are there as photobucket being a bit stuborn on uploads....) Some times its more fun to stay behind and push those cute little boxer motors.

Thanks for sharing the vids. I enjoyed them.

I'm not sure I'm sold on the red turbo though. If it supposedly spools so fast, can you let us know why that lotus pulled away from you so easily? I'm not trying to criticize or anything. I just want to do a lot of due diligence before getting a big purchase like this turbo would be.

Edit: Short answer watch from 2:50 in video until 3:16. Same spot on track faster car. less distractions.

If you mean the red lotus that was turning left going down hill, as my left hand was messing with boost controller trying to turn down boost since my street map had too much timing 6k+ rpm's well that was all driver related. I am way inside the race line, setting up his pass because I am distracted. You can see I have slow exit speed because I came inisde that entire corner. For sure He will be faster down the hill with a 35 mph head start look further in where I blow past his turbo charged big brother, as well as a gt3 and some other high hp to wt cars All of those passes were in my sat morning run and I was shifting under 6k due to some knock. It would suck to break the car the first 10 minutes into a very long weekend. (we logged 290 track miles this past weekend. 5 tanks of 93 octane fuel)

Ps. if steve wishes to chime in with his power on his rx7. I know he runs a single HUGE turbo and that car is really light fully gutted ect.(watch very first part of passing video) you will notice my car staying right behind his until the corner (which you give ppl room for error) then im messing with boost again.

Honestly Roger.... I dont know what it is you are waiting to see on this forum to convince you of the potential of this turbo.

Dynos can be manipulated & opinions are subjective.... you will never find your black & white proof

Soon enough there will be tons of these turbos out there & Im sure if you have some patience you can get a ride from someone to get a real experience.

To date I think there are 3 people on this board (including myself) that feel the RED is responsive enough for road course fun & we all know the top end is there...

Thank you, now I know, tnt.
You did stay breathing down the neck of that orange-wheeled lotus if I remember correctly. That one was turbo'd?

With regards to the rx-7. Yes of course the red turbo will perform great on straight passes.

With the lotus we were first talking about I guess I was expecting to see your car surge up toward him as you came out of the turns if the red was indeed fast-spooling.

And Nils, I don't know what I'm waiting for. I might've mentioned but a good black&white would be to see a stock cam, 2.0L evo's datalogs of boost + RPM, with stock turbo and then with red turbo.

Please don't misunderstand. The red turbo seems it is a great turbo. I'm just trying to figure if it is the one for my goals.

Yes grey lotus with orange wheels is turbo'ed. If you look closely at my rpm when steve (blue rx7) comes by Im in low 4000's and no boost. ( lifited for him to pass) so watch the 2 seconds it takes for car to get back into power and match his speed where again i roll off throttle to stay behind him. Actually looking again at it, I lift, then am back in boost before he is all the way in front of me.

Red spools at 4k. no gimic, no advertising, no smoke or mirrors. If that is slow to you for a LOW boost 400+whp turbo then keep looking around. On the track, not many other cars have a full tq power band of 4k-9k rpm range. It is kind of nice I think. (and no I am not shifting yet at 9k, but I will once my springs and cams are in)

Speaking of data logs.... can you show us what kind of load you get during a 2500-7800 pull? It would be nice to see some 60-90 times as well.
