Good luck tnt! All the best ! I am just wondering about the knock at 23 PSI. Seems weird, huh? How many degrees of knock and at what RPM? What were the AFR's?

yeah i know it sounds like car ins't tuned right or something is missing, but jsut ins't the case. i just have a nack for being the p!ss out of a car. call it a skill or a shortcoming, but its there.

afr's around 11.0:1
knock counts max 14 most under 10. all knock above 6000 so i just detuned the top end some. we run this car up to 60-70 minutes strait so it really takes beating. ill post sat log with my very "safe" street tune.

I'm sure with 100oct i could run full boost minus couple * timing.
log

oh same map in car ( haven't bothered to reflash ) i run 28psi on street.

Do you have an EGT gauge on your car? Is the fuel pump healthy?

pump is great. no egt as of yet. im trying to see how much i can plumb thru the ecu and run a touch screen with virtual gauges. i need to figure out how to add oil temp pressure, egt, fuel pressure.

does the red come with a different turbo outlet pipe or does it use the stock one?

If you have a EVO9, then you can use the stock pipe, if you have an EVO8, then you should NOT use the stock outlet pipe, it will contact the positive lead of the starter and make a loud arcing sound that will make you cry.

You can get a Install Kit for the EVOReds for about $130 with the correct pipes, oil and water and outlet of compressor and gaskets on our website when you order your turbo.

Here is the turbo:

Excellent thread. Thanks for sharing your experience and info. It's especially helpful to get road course feedback on the Red. I'm interested to hear your impressions with the cams and outlet. Oh, and if you dyno it, please post the results here
