Stalling and Idling Problems - No Leaks! What the heck?
Hey guys,
I have an '03 Evo, 62k miles on the clock.
Mods under the hood: Apex'i Intake, MBC, TBE. That's it. Car was tuned and has had this setup for over 20k miles.
Just this week, I come to an exit ramp and my car stalls. I start back up, it just dies again. I increased the idle (screw in the TB) and it doesn't stall, but the idle isn't right. On cold start (it was cold this morning) idle is usually 1500 rpms for a while, than it drops down. Now, on a cold start, it immediately drops to 600-800rpms; it almost wants to stall/die again. Overall, however, the car drives fine, and the turbo is generating full boost and the car feels fast.
Boost leak test revealder NO boost leaks anywhere. Oil looks good.
Another thing to add - I discovered my stock turbo has shaft play (not sure if that's a factor).
***EDIT*** Problem solved. See my last post.

Check your furl pump!
slowly turn your key through all the positions, and you should hear the pump pressurize the after it has been sitting not running for a while. or check for clogged or crimped fuel lines. maybe one got pinched on a speed bump or a something.
