Couple clutch install questions
I'm going to be taking apart my car to install my new clutch tomorrow. I've read a couple different ways of doing our clutch, but I still am a little unclear...
Is it necessary to remove the transfer case? I ask this because I don't have the tool to remove the input shafts that the front axles slide into.
Is it faster to remove the steering rack? or not? I dont' want to go through the hassle of removing and installing it if I don't have to.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I am in the middle of a clutch install myself-
I just took the 2 output shafts out of the t-case last night. If I was to take the t-case out it would be a ROYAL pain to do it. My plan is to push it up and out towards the passenger side and just tie it up there while I drop the transmission.
It is not necessary to remove the steering rack.
Here's a site to check out, I have been following it somewhat during my install:

Good luck with your install!

you need a slide hammer of some sort to remove shafts from the transfer case. I feel it is easier to do a clutch with the transfer case out. All you have to do is unbolt it, take input/output shafts out and pry the motor forward and it will fall out pretty easy.
