He measured correctly but the install instructions and measurements are not for the EVO. They are universal for any car that uses the 7.25.
The Quartermaster Evo Kit is made for direct bolt on, not measuring needed unless you have a resurfaced flywheel and your rebuilding it.

Yes. As the clutch wears the fingers starts to move out toward the TOB and will connect with the TOB not alowing the clutch to full release and the clutch will start to slip.. When they are new the fingers on the pressure plate lay flat. As they start to wear they start to move the other way. The finger move alot as the clutch starts to wear. I would say between 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch.
