Problem with Quartermaster Twin disk install.

Ok so, my buddie is installing the quartermaster twin disk clutch kit in my 06 IX that I bought from maperformance. Just to clarify, I do have all the needed parts, clutch, pressure plate tob ect. Anyway, my buddie called me earlier today with a problem and here it is word for word.

"The installed height of the TOB is about .25 in to tall. It's 2 7/8 and the clutch height is 2 5/8 in. So when I put the trans in it would hold the clutch partially in."

Any suggestions will have to be relayed to him, so i may be slow on response! Anyway, please help! I'm stuck driving a civic

Check to see if there is a shim in the TOB. You will need to remove the TOB with the collar to see if there a shim. Also make sure you have the Trans plate in-between the motor and trans. What color is the flywheel to?

He can't talk atm, but he said really quickly that the TOB already came with a Shim kit, he also said the trans plate is in the same place it was before, and finally he said that the flywheel is black.

The measurements are vague in the installation instructions. I let him know how to install correctly from the start.

The quartermaster is a complete bolt in application. You have to pick up the bolts for the hydro TOB (Which I will be selling soon) and then a clutch alignment tool, which we will include in our sales!

I have installed a few of these personally and use one in my EVO RS as well. No issues at all after 5,000 HARD HARD HARD miles!

If anyone has any issues at all with these clutches. You can contact the Adam's.

I have had the exedy triple plate cerametallic and the quatermaster twin. and the exedy BY FAR had the louder chatter of the two. But then again I'm comparing it to the exedy triple plate, not the exedy twin plate

the quatermaster is a bit more aggressive than the exedy triple plate but in my opinion it isnt too aggressive for daily driving/street use. ya just have to get used to it

Thanks dan.

The Quartermaster Twin does not come with the TOB Bolts that hold it to the transmission.

I use 4 - M6x1.00 with 55mm Length. With Locking Washers and loc-tite.
