FP Red 18psi actuator touching outlet pipe

I got my Red yesterday and started my install today. When i screwed on the outlet pipe, ive found that it is crammed up against the actuator. Does anyone know if this is normal?

Adjust the actuator. Loosen the bolts, move it to the side a little, then tighten back down?

No idea if that is normal, but can you put some washers under the actuator to solve it?

You got an Evo VIII.
The Red is an Evo IX Turbo, modified.

Make sure you got the turbo outlet pipe for an Evo IX.
It should fit and not touch.

It does comes close.

Also, disconnect battery. Many have blown/damaged things when the pipes touch the starter parts and create a short.

Is the turbo on the bench or mounted on the car? Do you have any pics of the interference? You may want to swap on a stock IX actuator and mounting bracket, just for comparison´s sake. Maybe upon assembly in Texas, the compressor housing was clocked a few degrees off(if that´s even possible???).

it is an evo IX outlet pipe. i took off the actuator and put on the outlet pipe to get it sealed up, then put the actuator back on. its all solid but they are touching. This is out of the car not in the car so i guess well see. i will post pictures later this afternoon.

The battery short thing is a EVO8 pipe on a EVO9 turbo problem, not part of your interference.

I have seen the 18psi actuator get very close or touch the outlet pipe before (the larger diameter race type pipe, not stock pipe) this doesnt result in a problem. You cannot clock the housing incorrectly, not even in Texas There is a pin that sets the orientation.

I'm going to be running the the same install kit from buschur. My question is that will the ETS lower intercooler and the install kit from buschur work together? Or will it be touching each other?

If your outlet pipe goes to the stock location the ETS intercooler pipe will fit without a problem.

Thanks!
