you should be ok as long as you do change it the the same or the next day, that happened to my buddies sti and he changed it the next day and it was fine. but if you drive it more than 1 or 2 days like that u will have some big problems with your engine.

 

^that is completely arbitrary. What are you basing "1 or 2 days" on? One day of driving along at 75mph on the highway? 2 days of road racing? What specific "big problems" do you think he is going to have?

what kind of oil are you using that only costs $30? unless you are doing it yourself.... even then, that seems a little cheap for 5qts of synthetic and a good filter

 

5 quart jug of Pennzoil Platinum and OEM filter=~$25

I've read good things about PP oil analyses on BITOG so that's what I run.

 

I buy 5 qt bottles of Mobil1 at Walmart for $23.99, and order a years worth of filters at a time from Mitsubishiparts.net for something like $6 ea.

 

You should be getting filters from me at $4.00 each.

Sorry for opening this topic haha. Didnt know it was gonna create such a controversy. I honestly was not that worried about it just telling you all my story seems like most of you are more worried then i am haha.

My cars running great. I just came back from a 500 mile trip and plenty of aggressive driving.

I wouldn't even trust the dealer to do that. I do it myself. BTW its not a big deal. Another member here and myself and gone back and forth without issues.
