Tranny Experts needed, Wierd issue after track night?!?!

what up fellas, so I was out at the local track and everything was going great. I FINALLY had the ACT lock me outa 4th for the first time, but it was my fault. I normally shift at about 7.2k but this time I took it up to about 8 and got lock out, oh well.

Heres the issue, everything went perfect at the track, no mis shifts, no harsh launches, nothing. Then I leave the track, get on the main road and I CANT get it into 5th! I didnt put it in 5th one time at the track? 1st and 3rd are fine? It doesnt grind when I try, its just like their is a big *** wall their, lol. I wanna hope it could be a shifter cable, but then it would be all the gears associated with that cable. So I dunno. Could it be the ForK? The clutch engages and disengages fine, its adjusted fine, it just wont go in 5th. Any and all help appreciated!

btw I hate being at 3700ft . Ended up running a 12.5 with a sh!tty 60ft and All season tires, lol.

Check you linkage for any bending. If your trans. will not go into 5th with to engine off you have bent something. No noises from the trans.? Check linkage very carefully. Check your shifter bushings as well. GL!

Ok, Im about to go look at it. There are ZERO noises from the tranny. it really doesnt even make a noise when you try and shift into 5th, it just wont do it, lol. Any other tips?

I dont know how it would be the clutch. I didnt change the adjustment at all and it was fine before the track. It engages and disengages every other gear perfect.

Hub slider is burred or a spring broke or both. This happened to my 6 speed and the lock out gets worse the more worn the clutch as well.

Newby to evo trannies, but Im guessin I would have to pull the tranny to get to those parts? Would those parts be really obvious once the tranny is off?

damn dude that sucks. It's threads like this that deter me from the track. As well as ACT clutches.
