Out with the Green in w/the Red, Kelfords & porting! NEW VIDEO ADDED!!
I had the FP Green on my car and had that combo working nicely....for a few weeks lol. The FP Red cam back from coating, along with a new exhaust manifold that I spend about 7 hours on alone doing the full PPI porting treatment too (thats 5 hours of porting, 1 hour on the bridgeport removing the heat shield bosses and anti-lag ports, 1 hour smoothing/blending the outside).
I also took some measurements of the turbine wheel...which shows a solid 6mm larger diameter! Less pressure on the back of the turbo is what is going to make some healthy power increases as we already know.
MitsuJoe and I were able to get everything done with no issues. We pulled out my Comp 280's and installed the Kelford 272s. They have a alot more duration than my Comps. After startup these cams are def. more aggressive than my Comps. They have about 8-10 in of vacum at idle, verse 15 or so with my old cams. I already have dual springs and larger valves in my Jackson head to make use of the larger cams. :thumbup
I also upgraded my single fuel pump to the Full Blown fuel pump.
I have been doing some road tuning over the weekend and getting everything ready for the dyno next week. Then, promptly...to the track too see what I can put down.
I am real excited about this setup. I am looking forward to going deep into the 10 second quarters, and haveing more power at the auto/x events so I can get sideways at will lol. I am trying to build the most well rounded evo I can.
There is more to come from
Here are some piqs!
I like this piq...ported to perfection and perfect alignment!
Perfectly blended FP Red hotside!
FP Green
FP Red
In her home ready to make some power!
All buttoned back up - less the air filter!
What is this....a PPI I/C...with a 4" core....with the stock bumper & crash beam....couldn't be. More to come on that later

Thank you for the kind words everyone. Its much appreciated!
I have been doing all my tuning on a local Mustang dyno here. For whatever reason it reads really low...I mean really low lol. My last tune I made 361whp and 372tq at 27psi at redline with E85 and ran the times in my sig. We shall see what the new setup yields.
Thanks Aby, yes I am going E85. Thats actually what I ran with the green also. I just upgraded the 1000's to the 1200's. Figurd nobody wanted to see piqs of injectors lol. I went the route that Ted B described and without a hobbs switch...and no issues.
