So close......
Sucks about the valve Tom. I hope you will do more runs with this turbo later. You did amazing in such a short time.
Now all the pressure is on Dave. <rob shneider voice> YOU CAN DO IT!!

When you set things up for being reliable and lasting a long time, you won't be setting any records or pushing the envelope
Yesterday, I was trying to push my car a little harder off the line and try to set a new personal best record and my rear diff finally exploded (after 6 years of abuse it did not owe me anything). But the point is if I was doing a conservative, easy launch then nothing would have broke and I would have continued my day.
Trying to go fast will result in broken parts.
BTW - here is my video from yesterday - you can see what happend when the light turned green and the clutch came up

scheides, that's what I say too. I think we may have bent some valves, but that's fixable at the shop. We're racing so things happen. The car is a strong 8 second car and proved it to me today. Wait till you see it go sideways in 3rd. Trent did a hell of a job today, but it's not what happens to you in life, it's how you handle it. We'll be ok in no time and this will be history. Not to disappointed for the first time with the new setup and what it showed. 9.20 @ 157.63 ain't too shabby for just it's 2nd FULL pass. The first 2 were really test runs and hose coming off. 1st full pass went 9.36, second went 9.20 with a 1.49 60 and hard spinning and sideways in second. Got work to do, thanks for the interest and support. tom
Sounds like a wild ride

I think that interestingly the comparision of dyno sheets and initial results at the track really shows me just how amazing that FP red turbo is for a stock location unit
I have been tuning a few FP red cars lately and frankly, its a really fun turbo and I think would suit the needs of all but the most hard core owners
Even though the red does not have anywhere near the top end power of the new turbual manifold the TQ and area of the curve to the left give the car a huge thrust for the modest ponies
All and all, the whole saga is just something I need to take a few days to digest
