I once installed my stock BOV backwards. The vent port intended for the intake was connected to the upper ic pipe. Check out other evo engine bays for a visual reference point. Good luck.

EDIT: With the car on, unhook the vaccum line for the bov, listen for vaccum. No vaccum means something is blocking the hose on the intake manifold side.

yea if backwards...it stays closed...so you will always get compressor surge..which is what i assume you are talking about

Which BOV? Nothing beats the drivability of a stock Evo IX bov; and they have been proven to hold 30 lbs/boost.

My friends GFB bov flutters like crazy too. I'll check his out to see if anything looks a miss with it this weekend. Its ideal to have a dedicated source line for the bov. Manifold to bov and nothing else.
