Convince Me: E85 or Meth?

This is correct!! You do not have to have a back up plan with e85, only a cable for when you wont to switch back to 93!! The only thing you really need is injectors if you already have a walbro intank pump! I would recommend going big now, like 1000's or even 1200's. Just because any good tuner can make them idle and drive like stock!!! Also you wont need to worry about running out of fuel with the bigger injectors!

Don't forget that you will use about 30% more volume on E85 than regular gas. This is the only "downside," but at 2.39, I'd hardly call it that. One look at 91 octane prices in other parts of the country, and the cost of 100+ octane race gas should have you convinced that for your situation, there really isn't any reason to debate it anymore.

Then forget about meth altogether, in case we didn't already convince you.
If you want to be uber-safe, always have a wideband in the car, and get a ethanol content display which reads the output from a GM fuel composition sensor so you can know the exact ethanol percentage in the E85 your are running. If you ever get a bad tank or they change the blend, you will know. that's not completely necessary, but it's the absolute safest route.

instead of waiting for a certain boost pressure to be reached before the meth (rest of your power)kicks in, its always there because its in the fuel. 29 psi at 3400 rpms or so and it almost like driving a non turbo motor its so torqy! i love it!
zeitronix zt2 with red led zt2 guage. $370 on ebay.
boost controller that can handle lots of boost, we were at 32 psi before we saw knock, but my AEM EBC only has a 2 bar psi onboard sensor(you must buy the 5 bar optional or some sh*t), so instead of risking breaking it, we went down to 29 psi to be safe
i only needed 880 cc injectors

Not everyone wants to switch back and forth! Most of my guys always wont to keep the cars on e85 all the time! Which I cant blame them seeing it smells so good and makes so much more hp and tq than 93! plus you can find e85 in NC allot easier than other states.

wow, I learn so much about E85 reading from you, thanks so much.
Another thing is there are less parts to be added to the car, I personally like to keep everything clean and simple.

E85 hands down, no question. You'll notice a lot of people (including well established tuners) are ditching meth in favor of E85. In fact, E85 alone is producing massive gains over meth, often without even touching the tune. You can tune more aggressively, AND more reliably with it than meth. No finnicky failsafes with failsafes for the failsafes, which can still fail like with meth. Meth is a narrow margin of safety whereas E85's is huge. You can make more power with a very conservative E85 tune than an aggressive Meth tune.
I personally consider Meth to be like an outdated band-aid solution compared to running E85, and mostly just for people who either can't get ahold of E85 in their area, drive too much in areas without it, or whose racing class doesn't allow it.
It's the 105 octane "torque fuel" that cleans your engine and can result in up to 35% reduced tailpipe emissions, while not being middle-east oil dependent fuel to boot!

What about when the E85 mixture drops to more like E75 in the winter? I have heard some stories about bad batches of E85 or lower ethanol content depending on the time of year and where the fuel is coming from?

well i am tuned for 93 octane and have 85 on post because I live near ft benning so as i read it seems that I cant just ride up to the gas staion and put 85 in and be fine with it right
guess i am asking for a yay or nay in this statement.
