you cant run more than 5 psi boost on non-turbo pistons.

well i realise that maybe 8 psi will the max that i can run but i really know if anyone knows if the evo tanny will bolt up to the 4g64 block? and does anyone know where i can locate turbo pistons for the 4g64 or will the evo stroker pistons work?

I use a 4G64 with a Evo 8 tranny on my Evo 6. I did not build the motor but I think the block was from a late model N/A Eclipse. If you do a search you should be able to find out what 4G64 blocks are compatible. Maybe all I'm not too sure on specifics. But yes it is all the same block as a 4G63 minus a few things like water pump setup and alternator bracket issues which are easily solved.

I don't know a lot about that. I'm pretty sure I run off the shelf evo stroker pistons and then a custom longer rod but not sure.

I would email Norris Designs who do a lot of high deck (4G64) builds lately.

Ok, you can use the bottom end of the 4g64 as long as you use low compression pistons. You'll have to rebuild. Yes, it will mate up the the 4g63 transmission. Some evo owners build the 4g64 and make a 2.4 evo motor out of it.
