Why are people still upgrading to injectors under 1000cc?
I see thread after thread on here where people are debating whether they "need" to go bigger than 780s, bigger than 880s, etc.
Why is anyone contemplating going with smaller than 1000cc when the 1000s work with ease on the stock ECU these days?
I upgraded to 1050s and the car runs exactly the same as it did before with stock injectors and 660s.
I see no point in anyone getting 780s or 880s.

You've got a good point, that's why you see a lot of people trying to sell their injectors under 1000cc. the reason is b/c back then 1000cc injector don't work well with stock ecu.
btw what kind of injectors do you have, do you know if 1200cc injectors will work well with stock ecu?

I'll have some PTE 880's up for sale soon. On my old setup, GT3065/meth with the 880s, we were seeing 70% IDC's @ 30psi of boost. Plenty of injector headroom left even if were to take out the meth injection.

Because you have room to grow and there's no downside as far as I can tell. Why buy twice?
For the person that asked, mine are FIC 1050s. And this is not a matter of having some guru tuning your car to make the impossible work. I installed these myself and used the scaling information that I found in the EcuFlash forum. Trims, cold start, etc. are fine.

if 880's were enough why go larger.. I had a 30r w/ 880's, got a 35r, and finally a 37r- then upgraded to larger injectors. You think you need 1050's with a fp green, or red??? I dont. I think the smaller injectors can be easier to tune.

Buschur sold me on 780cc when i wanted 1000cc for my RED. They talked me out of the 1000cc saying they were to big for stock ecu. I really regret the decision to listen to that b/c now i have to spend money to get bigger ones!!!

I remember reading your thread and deciding on 950cc injectors because I have pretty much the exact same setup as you. I talk to Sean and told him what I had and he said they would be good.
