Getting Tuned Tomorrow

I'm pretty excited. Ed From EQ tuning is up in Reno Nv for another tuning trip...He usually tunes Subarus but has a good background on Evos! He cam up 2 months ago for a tuning trip and checked out my tune I had done. It was very Conservative since I am new to tuning but I did put down 265/265. It was satisfied with it for the time being. But now I'm hoping for more like 290whp. He is going to show me a few of his tuning secrets and maybe I can start making the fine adjustments when he's not around and maybe alittle cash on the side. At 5000ft elevation I'm pretty sure that will do for **** poor 91 oct!!! Anyways Wish me luck I will back on around 2pm.

Well 4-5 hours later we are done!!! base run was 254/246 at 24 psi and 11.4 afr after everything was done I am at 285/278. I am so excited. Boost is at 22psi and afr is 11.0-11.2.
I am very happy with the out come and couldn't ask for more!!! He also taught me while i was driving. I learned ALOT about tuning.

wow that's a lot of power.....nope I'm just kidding. Don't go there I would go to GST Motorsports in Hayward, CA. They have an evo tuner Bryan. One of the best on the west coast. I wish I was near the area.

LOL Ed is one of the best tuners out there... he's just not well known in the evo community. not to bash bryan I know he is good, but at 5000ft evelvation that's quite a bit of power! on his dyno stock evos put down around 215whp

Was this done on a real dyno or the road dyno software?

Yes, 5kft that power ain't too shabby at all.

I'm still suprised there isn't a real shop in the Reno area.

was a road dyno he created. His software is as low or lower than a mustang... When I had a subaru I was tuned by him and made 350whp... I then went to a dynojet and made around 410-425. if you go to Nasioc.com look for Vaus. That's him!

Yea I know who Ed is. I was just curious if there was a 4WD dyno in the Reno area now.

Cory,

I think you have stations selling E85 in your area. That should be your next mod. Check out the Alt Fuel section of EvoM.
