TC Whine... Maybe?
Started last Saturday morning. Picked the car from the shop after having a clutch installed and tranny work Wed. evening. Drove fine with no adnormal noises or anything. Saturday morning on the way to a friends house it started to whine.
The thing is, it only does it when i give it gas when coasting there is no whine. And it doesn't do it all the time. Sunday it didn't do it but monday it did. The car still boost fine but the whine also gets louder the higher my rpm's go. It doesn't matter the speed just the rpm's. Starts at about 3000rpm . But remember doesn't it do it always and I have checked for leaks rechecked all my clamps and connections.
The clutch was a Competition Clutch Stage 3. I don't thing its the TC. But i'm also not sure. Fluids also have been changed regularly the car has 136,500 miles. Theres also about 800 miles on a new first gear that was replaced in the transmission. Clutch and tranny work where done at the same time.

I just changed them when the work was done on the car. Would having the wrong fluid cause a whine. I've always used the same fluids. Sycromesh in the tranny and asmoil in the diffs and tc.

Think you can describe this whine a little?
I had a very similar thing when i changed out my timing and accessory belt. They were on too tight and they made this kind of whirring noise as the rpm's increased.

Not quiet like a supercharger alittle more dull whine. Thats about the best i can do. lol
Now that i think about it it does kinda have a whirling sound.

Mine started as a quiet whine and within 2-3 weeks or so it turned it to a loud howling sound. Does it make the whine sound when your just coasting(no throttle) just decelerating slowly? If it does that then its def the T-Case. Its also hard to tell sometimes especially if you have a loud exhaust, intake, and fuel pumps can whine too. Check the walbro fuel pump. How many miles have you had that on the car for?

I have always had decel noises, this whine only happens when i hit the gas and its very flaint when coasting. But theres none if i push the clutch pedal in
its not my fuel pump you can only hear the pump at idle. Pump been on the car for 40,000 miles
the whine been going on for 100 miles

After you fill your transfer case/rear diff, you should drive around for 15 minutes and then re-check the fluids. I would ONLY use Diaqueen in the transfer case/rear diff.
