Question on ATP stealth turbo kit
Hey guys...so i'm planning on building up my car this winter with the intentions of using the ATP stealth turbo kit. Preferably the 3540R with .82 A/R. Haven't seen many other people using this kit, and was just wondering if any could tell me if it's a good kit. I know ATP makes quality parts. I used to own an SRT4 and purchased many parts from ATP in the past. Also, i'm going to be running a pretty conservative tune for that size turbo (somewhere in the low 400 horse range...420 or so) for that fact that I will still be on a stock clutch and tranny and don't want to blow anything before I beef it up. My car currently has almost 40k miles. Would a stock clutch hold that kind of power as a daily driver for at least some time not beating on it too much?? Just want to make sure it's not going to slip on the dyno creating problems while tuning. Any help will be appreciated. thanks

Was just looking around the forums a bit and saw a few cars with the ATP kits producing good numbers. I will be using GSC S1 cams, along with an aftermarket frontmount, and 880cc injectors. To be in the mid to high 400 horse area, would you reccommend the 3540R...or would i have no problem hitting that power range on a 3076R with .82 A/R on 93 pump gas?? Thanks

For your goals, I'd probably look into the FP Red. If you really want to go to the 35r, you'll really want larger injectors than 880s if you plan to push it later on. For around the cost of the ATP kit you have other options such as an off the shelf 35r (could do the .63 housing for quicker spool) for about $1299, along with a HAFE manifold an o2 housing for about $1k which will allow you to bolt it up to any stock location downpipe. Then just throw in a gate and some oil/coolant lines.

Sounds good man...i'll have to look into it. I did talk to a tuner in the area who said with the 3540r I'm going to want 1000cc injectors. Just figured that I could save some money buying 880s, but most likely the temtation will come in the future to go bigger and i'll have to buy em anyways. Thanks for the opinions!
