You can get a map switch that will allow you to switch from E85 to 91, 93, or whatever you would like as an alternative. To do so you would have to be tuned on both though. Not hard to do though, just contact your local tuner. I personally run E85 all of the time and love it. Only downside is a 23.08% reduction in fuel milage....but 425whp/400wtq on the stock IX turbo is nice.

sorry to thread jack.. but its a question related to e85.... for those of you that run e85 daily.... how do you keep extra in the car?... because i'm not using it daily but for road trips and stuff... what kind of container do you have to store it in?

My standard red container did fine. (let it sit in one for about 20 days, no issues)
The green spill/empty pans do not. I watched E85 melt a green drain pan within 20 minutes.

I have 1250's and ran out @ 35 psi making about 600whp on it.
With the price of it, you cannot go wrong. Just make sure you have a back up 93 map and a way to change it at any givin time.

It will require 30% more fuel and your injectors will run out if you are aiming for the performance aspect of it.

i see people telling people to get 1600cc injectors for 35rs
if i had E85 i would daily it but would have a map switch just incase i wasnt around a E85 station and ran out

The map switch would be nice. But think about it for a second. Lets suppose you got an 1/8 tank left of e85 and you have to fill up with 93. Switch to your 93 map, and you still got a mixture of e85 in there. You see what I'm saying. Its hard to get to the gas station to fill up when theres barely any fuel in there. Any suggestions? I want to do e85, but I want this completely thought out.
