Best LICP & FMIC Setup

Hey guys from yals experience what yal think is the best bang for your buck on a FMIC and LICP. I am just doing cams and bolt ons.

I just ordered the Nisei piping set at a great price; check the vendor announcements section for the thread. Also, check out the new ETS LICP LP2; its been showing a few extra horsepower gains over other styles of LICP's. I was tempted to try one, but I like that Nisei has mounting brackets and I got a great deal buying the complete piping set. I'll be selling my Buschur LICP in about a week which seems to work really well with the stock FMIC (won't work with the Perrin FMIC that I just ordered) since it has an up-turn at the end which I feel is better than the stock 45* coupler.

My favorite intercoolers are:
Perrin
Nisei
ETS

I'm also anxious to see the new redesigned unit from AMS. The reason I decided on the Perrin was the current sale price and the fact it fits with the stock undertray. The ETS also fits with the stock undertray but the Nisei does not. The reason I also like the Nisei is because its the biggest core I've seen that doesn't require hacking of the front bumper support and Nisei's high quality and attention to detail.

Had I gone with ETS, I probably would have done the 4" thick wide-tank since it supposedly fits (very tightly) the stock bumper support w/o hacking. Or maybe just the 3.5" since 4" would probably be overkill for the stock turbo. I will say that dealing with ETS through PM was incredibly easy and their customer service is top-notch; as was Perrin and Nisei for that matter! All three of these companies really impressed me with their high standards for customer service; I wish all companies/vendors could be this good!

If anyone cares, I ordered my Perrin FMIC through Modern Automotive Performance (a board sponsor) and they're always great to deal with too. If people haven't noticed yet, I value customer service very highly and choose to do business only with companies who make me feel 100% valued as a customer and are willing to take that extra step to earn my business.

I went with the Nisei aluminum LICP because it has a holding bracket and the Perrin FMIC because I got it for a great price. Received the Nisei LICP already. Waiting for the Perrin FMIC.

for simple bolt-ons I would say the buschur deluxe. Its 3.5" thick and it includes the short route LICP

Buschur racing core is probably the best evo FMIC.

If it's going to be for mostly standard bolt ons or small turbo setup I would go with ams' standard FMIC w/Licp. It's lighter than buschur's and will hold to over 500 to the wheels. The craftsmenship of the ams units are amazing, I absolutely love mine
