you have to make sure you dont have any air pockets in ur coolant system....
also, if the head has ever been off, we've seen cars lose coolant because of an issue with proper seal... we never found where it went, didnt mix with the oil.... re-did the head, with new gasket, and it was fine.
food for thought.

Ive had this issue for 20,000 miles? Car runs and drives great. Sometimes Ill go weeks without filling it and other times itll be every couple days. Compression and leakdown tests are good. No leaks anywhere. The car is bone dry underneath. Turbo has minimal shaft play and the car doesnt smoke. I just check it like I do oil and pour some in it occassionally. Never hurt anything

Wow, thread back from the dead...
Well, I put the stock radiator cap back on and my problem went away, and its been fine for months now. My coolant stays at the "max line" and I rarely if ever have to fill it.
My guess and conclusion is that the high pressure cap should be used in conjunction with the low temp Ralliart thermostat or something equivalent.

i had that problem one time. my car pulled like normal, no coolant and oil mix, just consuming coolant like a champ. i was losing it out of my over flow tank under high boost... couldnt tell because i would always be driving hard whenever it would happen. i discovered it because i noticed a lot of dried up coolant on the rubber hose that comes out of the bottle and around it. sometimes i would have coolant on my passenger side front and on my rim. i then changed my thermostat and that didnt fix the problem. I had a friend come over and we discovered it was the head gasket. replaced it even though it didnt look bad and i have been driving my car for the past 6 months problem free

Pull your oil dip stick or look under your radiator cap and see if any mocha colored accumulation of oil. I if so headgasket problem, a slow indication also might be intermitent overheating but cools off immediately which is deceiving most of the time.
