I've got the ARC core and although I just made 450WHP on a Mustang Dyno with this cooler, the intake temp's were going way up.
It's a nice lightweight piece, but the painted-on ARC logo looks way cheap (I've had some people ask if it's an e-bay intercooler which I sprayed the ARC logo onto)
If I were to start again I wouldn't buy the ARC cooler; I'd go AMS, Buschur or ETS. That's alphabetical order; not preferential order!

We sell the intercooler only on the site for the following prices. If the pipes work with the stock intercooler, they will work with our intercooler. I would recommend checking out our LP2 LICP if you are running an Injen pipe. The Injen pipe does neck down causing a restriction in the intercooler system.
3.0" - $499.00
3.5" - $599.00
4.0" - $699.00
5.0" - $899.00
We can also add 3.0" in/out for an additional $50.00.
Thanks,
Michael

I sure will. I'm eventually going with the FP Red w/E85 combination when I get back. Would the 3" or 4" be the choice of "go fast" part? Now I've read about this "short route UICP and LICP". I currently have the Injen set up to include their LICP. Without any bias, would it be beneficial for me to change both out? I bought the Injen when I first got my EVO and never considered replacing either. I figured "hey it is not stock" and call it good.

Go with the Buschur Race. Everyone I know either has it and loves it, or wants it! The BFIC they make in my opinion is overrated. 9sec9s car made 727 on a HTA86 and doesnt heat soak on the race intercooler. And it can be fit behind the crash beam. There is a pic on here somewhere with VWJeffs car with it and the crash beam installed.
Hands down the Race is the best money can buy!
And Daves tests arent flawed, Ive seen him run his tests, he straps it down and runs it just like he does every car on the dyno. He just gives the straight facts. His testing is why he has so many 9 second customers and why his car is so fast. Their stuff simply works amazing!

idk i gotta say i love my AMS intercooler and piping...ive had it for over a month now and i dropped .2 in the 1/4 just bolting it up. and it is a great core to match up with the Red. dont get me wrong the ETS 3.5 and Buschur are great too. but flow tests have shown the AMS out-performs the ETS 3.5
