2nd Owner (first owner had a tune, exhaust, intake and mbc)
38,000 miles, brand new stock clutch and pressure plate, stock everything aside from shifter bushings and an mbc.
Issues: notchy 2nd gear, 4th gear grinds on fast/redline shifts, and 5th gear lockout when shifting fast into 5th from the top of 4th.

HyaBoostaIX, 46,000 miles, Minor bolt-ons, approx 310whp, A little notchy in 2nd...but only sometimes when it feels like it. Other times it shifts smooth as butter. Other than that, perfect. Still have to change fluid to see if it helps. Occasional Drag, spirited Driving

smack
ix mr
note: before i bought the ix i had a 03(5-speed obviously) that i had about 30+ trackdays on with no problems at all at the same tracks.
first failure was at 850 miles at thunderhill(local road racing track) about 15 minutes into the first session of the day. stock clutch and power.
heated up 3-4 slider and it bound up on the gears so it locked you out of 3rd and 4th.(same as voidhawk) here's a pic(credit voidhawk) of a cooked 6-speed 3-4 slider vs. a 5-speed one with much heavier wall thickness. as you can see there is about half the material so it just can't handle the heat and starts to warp, thus binding instead of sliding over the gears.
trans repaired under warranty.
the thought from the dealer was that the trans might not have been broken in enough so i ran the repaired one for 5k miles and then took the car to laguna seca.
same failure again on the last session of the day. still stock clutch and power.
trans repaired again under warranty and then promptly voided
so i swapped a shep 5-speed in and then ran the next two seasons of nasa time trials with about 360whp on a exedy twin plate and now 425whp on an act clutch and haven't had a single problem.

No Major probs here minus the 1st to second hiccup (not smooth going in 50% of time), but I hear that it's pretty normal.
19,000 miles - 330whp/300wtq (GST mustang dyno) - fluid changed at 1K and 12K - completely stock drivetrain - 100% street duty
