XEDE vs eManage vs Works Reflash
#18
They all serve their purposes for different price points. I'd agree that the Xede is the most appealing to me, but I have a lot of cash to save to be able to purchase one. I wouldn't worry about the 660cc thing. They're developing a new stage with the 3037 turbo. There is also an Evo with 660s that has hit 11.80s@116 on the stock turbo. 11s are sure fast enough for me.
Although I want to check out the Evo UTEC before committing my $1000 fully (releases in approx 2 months), the Xede is my leading candidate at this time.

XEDE
I just got my XEDE from Vishnu and let me tell ya......... its freakin AWESOME! The difference from stock is amazing. The car pulls sooo much harder up top. I also like that I can return the car to stock in under 5 minutes (plug in harness - NO CUTTING).
I think for most people (99%) a "stand-alone" ECU is more trouble than it's worth. Ive tried it on previous cars with mediocre results. So I say let the factory take care of the "hard to program" stuff like idle, cold start, part throttle tip in, etc. and let the tuners (Shiv in this case) concentrate on what he does best........... make safe, repeatable, reliable horsepower.
just my .02 cents

It is also not as versitile meaning I can't bring my car to the dyno and start tuning the car myself.

XEDE $795 + Harness $90 + Xmap software $100 = $985 not inclusive of shipping.

I just found out more on the eManage. The maximum injector size the eManage can support is 150% the size of the stock injectors. Which means that it cant support 1000cc injectors, maximum for the eManage is 847cc. And eManage has a 15 x 15 map, meaning 15 throttle positions and 15 rpm points.

You can use 1000cc injectors if you please, timing is fully controlled, fuel maps are divided into 16 rpm levels, and injector pulse is also available to program. There is a feature to use VTA bov if you choose to. There is also a feature were you can delete the MAF and run a Greddy MAP sensor(not sure exactly how this works yet). Im extremely happy that I didn't have to go out and spend $1000+ to get a fully programable piggyback. I definetely recommend it.

Getting rid of the MAF requires using the e-manage pressure sensor. Put that bad boy into your intake manifold and you can run a MAP-style sensor and ditch the MAF.

I am going with these guys at www.dynoflash.com they offered me a complete custom dyno tune on my car with a reflash they are doing for $450.00. That includes the dyno time and the flash. These guys are real experts on dsm tuning also and they just did a tune on a Black Evo that is going to the Ultimate Street Car Challenge next week. They said they will be ready to start on client cars in two weeks, they are finishing base maps now. The price is right and they really know what they are doing so its a no-brainer for me. Oh, and money back guarantee if I don't get an extra 20 hp !
