Glad it's now fixed let me know if you need anything else.

Yeah sorry about that. Fouled plugs+non-starting car=bad assumptions lol. My car is now making a weird noise under throttle, sounds like tapping almost but I think it may be an exhaust leak due to snapping one of the hotside studs that connect to the manifold, so the turbo is hanging by 3 as of now until the red goes in. Does that even sound feasible Sean, or should I be worried something else may be the cause?

P.S. It's weird driving around with no CEL lol.

If you snapped off a stud it can do that.
Make sure it's nothing else. Call us if you need to have it looked at.
No cel is good.

Yeah I have carbon on the top of the compressor cover so I'm not too worried. It just sounds like doodoo for the time being. I'm going to be dropping the red in, in about 3-4 weeks anyway.

Hmm I just installed my red, BR o2 housing, Br exhaust mani, and tuned bout 1 week later I got this code po171. Car starts up but idles real lean at first till I give it gas and then it runs fine with no boost. It feels super sluggish when I hit it so I don't even get in to boost DD it. So its the o2 sensor on the o2 housing you think?? How much and where can I get a decent one?? Also to the OP did you have any boost leaks??? or was it just the o2 sensor??

I had to swap out the o2 sensor for another OEM to get rid of the problem. It should be throwing more than one code though if that's the case (bad o2). It says no voltage bank 1 sensor, too lean bank 1 sensor, and a few more. It can occur through an exhaust leak, but it should only read bank 1 sensor lean, not the rest of them. This actually happened to me yesterday (exhaust leak) and freaked out, called Sean, and verified exhaust leak as the cause.

Then you should be okay. Check for exhaust leaks near the sensor (usually you can hear them/smell them). I'm just going off what has happened with my car when I experienced this issue.

I should be okay with it being an o2 sensor?? Or it just being an exhaust leak?? I could have a boost leak as well, from what I hear that can cause the code too.

https://www.mitsubishiparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html

u can pick up the oem o2 for 263.33. its the upper o2 sensor. I too this morning just got this. I cleared it with my scanner. hopefully it wont come back. the car is running fine right now though. everything is fine with my wideband. i will see what happens on my drive home from work. otherwise i have to buy a new one. i already replaced this one with about 40k on the car. now i have 90K. Funny, i just sent out my last car payment and now all these little things keep popping up. oh well
