Buscher O2 Housing offerings on website confuse me...

Here are their offerings:

https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...Path=21_30_129

The third offering down, the "Evolution Stainless Steel Fabricated 02 Housing" (http://tinyurl.com/43a59x) is what I think is the EBAY O2 that everyone raves about. for $200. They add a ceramic coating to control heat. I am a'ok up to this point, until I look at the picture. It looks like plain stainless...I don't see a coating. Or is the ceramic coating clear?

The second offering down advertises "Evolution Ported and Jet Coated 02 Housing" (http://tinyurl.com/4dcw3v) for $225. But when u click on the link and read the description, it's not actually an O2, it's a service performed on your EBay/Megan O2 housing that you send in and they exchange you for. I would assume your $225 is all going towards a professional porting job, since if you buy the third offering down, the "Evolution Stainless Steel Fabricated 02 Housing" (http://tinyurl.com/43a59x) I mention in the paragraph above, they already coat it for you. Am I correct? Also, the picture shows no ported of the underside of the O2 housing....I'm not sure what they port actually. Can someone clarify where they port?

They also state "For best results please combine with part#: EVO-31786,and EVO-60040," but part # EVO-31786 cannot be found with their search, and EVO-60040 is the fourth offering down on the O2 Housing page (http://tinyurl.com/494zvt), a stock O2 housing (not the 'Evolution') that has already been coated and ported. This does not make sense to me. Why would you coat and port and already coated and ported stock O2 housing? Plus, the picture of the third offering down http://tinyurl.com/43a59x does not look like the fourth offering http://tinyurl.com/494zvt. Once you recoat and report the stocker, it changes it's outer shape and name too?

So it would cost you $425 (perhaps?) for an Ebay O2 housing that is coated and ported, am I reading that correctly? Also, Is "ceramic coating" the same as "jet coated?"

And they state in offering number three, the "Evolution Stainless Steel Fabricated 02 Housing" (http://tinyurl.com/43a59x), that the product showed 15hp gain. Is that w/ or w/out porting and coating? If it was, was benefit does the coating and porting give you? Resistance to boost creep? More HP?

the 3rd one down is their custom stanless o2. like the ebay one only better flow and welds. the ebay has a very small wastegate opening. the 2nd is a factory cast o2 that is ported by them and jet coated to prevent cracking

also you wont need porting on the stanless. already very open. the cast will need it due to restrictions

I don't agree. In this thread:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-housings.html

In this thread Buscher states he is testing the EBAY style O2 housing he carries, but it was coated. He does not mention porting of that Ebay O2 housing for this test AFAIK:

Today we finally got the time to dyno test the Invidia, Works and Ebay 02 housings.
Results from the stainless steel ceramic coated 02 housing we sell with the 3" flanged downpipe:
On page three of the same thread he states:
In my last testing I went from our ported/coated stock 02 housing to the SS Ebay housing and gained an additional 13-15 whp OVER our already ported/coated stock housing.
He says on his website his "Evolution Stainless Steel Fabricated 02 Housing" (http://tinyurl.com/43a59x) that:
Using this 02 housing we have seen gains of 15hp which is the highest horsepower increase we have seen since trying different 02 housing options on the Evolution.
So it's safe to assume the "Evolution Stainless Steel Fabricated 02 Housing" (http://tinyurl.com/43a59x) he offers on his website is the coated EBAY O2 housing with no porting and gave 15hp in the test I referenced above.

The 2nd one down "Evolution Ported and Jet Coated 02 Housing" (http://tinyurl.com/4dcw3v) doesn't even get you an O2 housing, you have to provide your own, read the description again please. Also, it's not a Factory O2 that is ported and coated...the fourth one down is http://tinyurl.com/494zvt

So my questions in my original post still stands....

Second item is a stock 02 housing that is ported and coated.

Third item Stainless coated O2 housing.

Fourth item is a ported and coated 10.5 hotside

The other item should be a 3" downpipe or complete exhaust.

If you have any other questions I would call Buschur Racing or PM David on this forum.

Whats the big argument here... its simple as Indy stated:
Item 2: They take your stock cast o2 housing, port it and coat it for $225
Item 3:Its a Coated Stainless Steel housing (no porting) for $200... best performing by 15 hp=obivous choice
Item4: Porting and Coating of the TURBINE housing

Whats so difficult?
