So it's a RED basically but just makes less power like the green. WOW. Good job Tomei!

I dont think it will beat out a red maybe more comparable to a green. Or halfway between a green and red. Nice unit though.

They just tuned/tested a pre-pro model here in SoCal. Results were underwhelming in my eyes.

The Red is the benchmark. If you can't beat that, what's the point?

Do you have actual results from the test? We've been consistently "underwhelmed" by the competition's offerings so I'd like to have some basis for comparison.

330whp or so on a DynaPack. The results are over on SoCalEvo.Net

And if you're underwhelmed with 500+whp (DynoJet) out of a stock-framed turbo (EvoRed) then I really don't know what you're looking for.

Nils seems to like his EvoRed just fine, among others.

Not to mention the CBRD BBK just made 367whp on 91 on the GST Mustang Dyno (most Greens make around 330whp on that dyno). I guess that's underwhelming too?

Looking for some dyno charts, engine or otherwise. Are we comparing pump gas to race gas at the moment? It seems like we might be. 500whp is lofty even for race gas.

Nils says that he's never had his car on the dyno so it's not really a good point of comparison. He also runs Q16 in his car, not street gas.

I found your thread reference. It was 22lbs on 91 octane. Show me an FP red on 91 at 22 lbs and we have a fair comparison. (and I'm a supporter of FP!)

this turbo is between a green and a red for the most part and as you can see at 23.5 psi and 91 octane it made 367whp

I think that is a good benchmark that the tomei unit isn't going to outshine what we have already

I guess I am confused now (I'm not looking for an argument).

You said you're underwhelmed with the competition, yet you're a fan of FP? I don't get it.

The CBRD BBK offers Evo 9 stock-like spool and way more HP than an Evo 9 turbo.

The Red seems to be good for about 20-30 more whp over the BBK on race gas with a loss in spool.

FastFrank's EvoRed put down 550whp on the SPI dynojet on E85.

I guess I don't understand where this Tomei turbo fits in. It's not price. It seems it won't be performance either (although it's still early). I am trying to see the point of it, unless it's JDM for JDM's sake.
