Regarding the OP, I have pretty much the same mods as you aside from me having bigger injectors and a dual pump for E85. I drive my car quite a bit, though it isn't a daily driver. I usually drive it to work/school a few times a week and down my my GF's who is over an hour away at school.
I personally don't think that you'll push the limits on the stock motor with a Red and 93oct only. My EvoRed is always on E85 and 30psi and I beat on my car regularly. It loves it

We have recorded over 150 passes with the car at over 500 whp. I would say the car was around 3200 lbs when it trapped 142 mph. It all comes down to the tune. As far as over reving the engine, I believe thats what caused the issue. When you miss a gear and free rev it to the moon, things happen.

Sorry if I'm going OT - but on a stock bottom end how much *boost* can you safely run on a road course?
Also, is it boost or HP that makes more of a difference? i.e. 400hp car with less boost would be safer than a 400hp car with more boost correct?
Curious to know what kind of boost guys are putting through their 500hp GT35s while being reliable etc.
Of course this is all assuming a good tune.
