Identify my Evo IX's exhaust

I bought an evo IX SE for Christmas. It was a repo so I know very little about the car. I had suspicions that is was slightly modded because of the "english racing/extreme turbo systems" stickers on it & aftermarket wheels/tires.

The engine looks stock under the hood but the exhaust tip looked a little large and was a little loud I thought to be stock. I got underneath the thing and snapped some pix today. It looks like it is nothing but a straight pipe back to the muffler. I don't see any cat or anything else resembling stock exhaust.

My guess is the car probably has an exhaust and a tune package.

Does this look familiar to anyone? The tip is 4"

wow 4"? hmm...sounds like a Perrin exhaust, i know that they make 4" exhaust tips and yea it looks like you have a turboback setup but i cant tell if u have an aftermarket downpipe or not..but you most likely have one.

could also possibly be an exhaust from Agency Power...not sure

My guess is it's ETS's work because of the badges on the windows but I can't find any emblems on the pipe or muffler.

You can see the tip in this pic.

I'm thinking ETS too. Because....

1. Its 4" piping....
2. Its one solid piece from the downpipe back, AKA no test pipe.

doesnt look like an ets exhaust. I've had the 3.5in and it didn't look like that. Unless they used a different hanger on the 4in that is not an ets exhaust.

I think I found part of my answer. I was taking some pictures and I noticed some writing on the underside of the tip. "Vibrant".

You can see the end of the word in this pic.

Here's a few more.

Whatever it is, it doesn't look stainless. I'd replace it with something that won't rust and fall apart.

Congrats on the new car though.

Might not be a bad idea to post some pictures of the engine as well, to see if there are other aftermarket parts there.

My guess is someone bought a Vibrant universal muffler to replace another muffler, possibly a Rs-r Exmag because they came with black piping and no resonators and Rs-r also supplies a 1 piece downpipe/testpipe unit that eliminates the cat. Looks like the entire system was welded together. Rs-r pipes rust more so than others.

Word to the wise, I would get rid of those Azenis ASAP and get some real snow tires or else your car may get repo'd by a snow bank. Good luck.
