This is what i would recommend, or you could even go with Manley H-beam rods. Let me know if you need any, we have them in stock.

Looking at the Cosworth setup right now.

MSRP: $999.00

The piston is one of the most important components within the engine. It can be subjected to directional change up to 285 times every second and must withstand acceleration forces of 8500g. Cosworth high performance forged pistons are designed and engineered to withstand this type of punishment and still perform. All Cosworth pistons are manufactured using the same methods as our Formula One pistons and include features such anti scuff skirt coating, ulta-strong pins, polished top and patented anti-detonation bands. Additionally, each application uses a unique forging to minimize weight and ensure the strongest possible piston design

MSRP: $999.00

The connecting rod is the vital link between the piston and power. When engine output is increased, the demands placed on the connecting rod increase as well. To ensure engine reliability in all conditions, original connecting rods should be replaced with heavy duty specification parts. Cosworth Forged Connecting Rods are manufactured from high strength 4340 (EN24) steel and machined to exacting tolerances.

Buschur Pistons

MSRP: $680

This custom piston has been built by JE to Buschur Racing specifications. Stock 9:1 compression ratio. Complete set of pistons, pins, retainers, and rings. WE ALSO HAVE THESE PISTONS SIZED FOR YOUR STANDARD BORE - Because these engines are so new, we are offering this solution to customers who would like to do an in chassis forged piston upgrade. This can be done without removing the engine. Use in conjunction with our forged rods for a durable combination that will support over 800hp. NOTE: These pistons are J&E tough skirt coated. This is a special process that helps with the oiling and prevents excess wear.

I wonder how the Wiseco 9.3:1 CR pistons would go?

Improved off boost drivability? More torque?

Seeing your thread motivated me to post a new set of Arias 10:1 pistons and Eagle ESP H-beam rods, if you're interested.

good info guys, I'm now leaning towards the Buschur Pistons since I won't be hitting ridiculous numbers, and this will remain mostly a DD and not a full all out race car.

I would NOT go JE at this time. I've had as many as 4 or 5 sets and am not happy with their attention to service. It's time they understand where at least part of their business comes from.

Good info. Thanks, I was thinking about replacing my 9.0:1 Wiseco pistons and Eagle rods with the JE but I think I will hold on to what I have for now. Maybe step up to the 9.3:1 setup.

Personally I haven't heard good things about Eagle, I know you should definately stay away from their cranks, I've seen a few blown motors with the Eagle cranks.

I have no experience with the Eagle cranks however I know several high powered Evo's running the rods with no problems. I have been told that the Wiseco/Eagle combo is good to 600hp.
