Scorke, I'll await your empirically derived data on ANYTHING. As soon as someone posts data, there's always going to be the other side. It takes someone to step up and make an attempt at presenting the facts, not just sitting back, waiting for someone else to do the work, then complain about how it was presented.

Wow i want my 5 min back.useless comparison.why dont you take a stock car with only a front mount lets say and do the test at 25psi to be safe then that would be a comparison.

I am not sure if this thread is based off the results Bryan @ GST is getting, but I feel like it is. From his testing, the BBK seems to be making more power on pump gas than the Green. It is also making more power on E85 too.

Bryan is very good about collecting data, so I don't think this is about manipulating things. In fact, I think Bryan has an EvoGreen on his car. He just had a customer come in with a BBK and it performed very well.

Now obviously Tom and Indy have provided a great deal of info and testing to this community. Bryan is a very nice and smart guy as well. Perhaps we can have a discussion so everyone can compare data and learn.

How does comparing an VIII to a IX with different cams, different fuels, different exhausts qualify as a turbo comparison? Up until now every comparison/data analysis post I've read of 9sec9's has been well thought out and provided valuable information for the community. This post provides a lot of facts that can not be reasonably compared. I can appreciate your desire to provide a comparison based on facts and actual data, but when the necessary data does not exist either do a test to generate that data or drop it. I would think that with all the FP Green and BBK full dyno sheets out there a better comparison could be found, because these two setups aren't close at all.

Could someone please explain why some turbo work with pump gas and other not?
What is the design difference? Here is the fact that RED needs E85/Meth/C16 before you can make serious power. I really don't understand that. Different fuel needs different tune and in my opinion RED is not worse on pump gas than 30R.

I'm not really sure if the data being talked about here is what we posted or not. I do not wish to get in an argument about which turbo is better as it is up to the potential customer of said turbos to figure out what works best for their use and their modifications using data and results presented to them.

We've had one (1) BBK full through the shop and probably twenty+ (20+) FPgreens. Yes the BBK performed well on that one (1) car. Do I think it's great? Yes. Did it make more than any FPgreen on pump gas? (on our dyno with me tuning) Yes. Do I think that one (1) data set is a do all/tell all for the BBK full? No. It would be ignorant to think so.

We will post more results with BBK fulls as more come through the shop, just like we have/do with most of the FPgreens that come through the shop, and the GT/HTA35Rs, the FPreds, the stock turbos, the ported turbos, the ATP turbos, the etc etc etc.

For now, have a FPgreen power results Cornucopia topped with a BBK Full cherry with some Stock turbo sauce and FPred nuts

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These are all on stock Ecu, Maf, motor and every single one is using ECU-boost control
These are all the "upper-end" of power results with their respective turbos. I have a ton of normal and sub-par results as well if anyone is interested.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

445whp/415wtq - Evo 9 - BBK Full - E85 - 3rd and 4th gear overlayed:

403whp/378wtq - Evo 9 - FPgreen - E85 - (I later tweaked this tune to 413whp/394wtq but never scanned the sheet)

393whp/368wtq - Evo 9 - FPgreen - E85 (333whp / 313wtq on 91 oct)

373whp/339wtq - Evo 9 - FPgreen - E85

400whp/384wtq - Evo 9 - Stock Turbo - E85 (334whp / 317wtq on 91oct)

385whp/355wtq - Evo 9 - Stock Turbo - E85

448whp/375wtq - Evo 8 - FPred - 110oct (Redline time attack/Superlap Battle tune)

425whp/378wtq - Evo 9 - FPred - 110oct (Redline time attack/Superlap Battle tune) (Wilson V2 manifold) (369whp / 330wtq on 91oct)

400whp/380wtq - Evo 9 - FPred - 91+meth

356whp/314wtq - Evo 8 - FPred - 91

369whp/318wtq - Evo 9 - BBK Full - 91

339whp/311wtq - Evo 9 - Stock Turbo - 91

353whp/314wtq - Evo 9 - FPgreen - 91

Now there is real data, that should answer some of the assumptions.

I am not sure if it was mentioned or not but you guys should also include what fuel management these cars are being tuned with. I am pretty sure a aem ems tuned car will make a little bit more horsepower than a car getting ecu flashes.

None of the cars tuned by GST Motorsports (posted above) run standalones. All have been tuned with EcuFlash if I recall correctly.
