Looking for a quieter exhaust
I am looking for a way to quiet down my existing exhaust system without hurting performance if at all possible. I would like to buy a different muffler (or rear section). Right now I just have a 3" turbo back, no cat, and a standard no name muffler.
I like the look of the Buschur Bullet setup, would it be quieter though if I just purchased the rear section?
Any other input is appreciated, thanks!
Here is how loud it is now... about a 1:45 or so in is the exhaust clip

my setup is pretty quite
i have a 3inch downpipe and 3 inch testpipe with QTP 3" electric cutout in the testpipe....all with the stock cat back! sounds completly stock until i flip that switch and then the beast comes alive!
i'm really glad i went this route because my car is nice and quite on the highway and interstate and cruising around but when i go out to race it's louder than hell haha
plus it's a little sleeper affect when you see the stock muffler

I'm running the same exhaust and I didn't realize how silent and mellow it was until I let my wife borrow my car for the day and I drove her truck to take it to service. Anyway cruising behind just to get on the highway the car was very silent. Even when she merged on the highway it seemed very tam. The only time I got pulled over for a load exhaust was a few months ago I merged on a highway from a traffic intersection and I was testing to see if I still had a boost leak. But that was WOT.

i dont know what kind of cash your willing to spend or what but im in the same boat. I have 3 inch turbo back no cat with the bullet muffler from buschur and it is loud. Its got a really low nice tone so people say its not that loud but the noise travels further than 90% of the cars i have ever herd lol. Im gunna give you a few options to consider.
1.) Evane has what i want to do with my car. The QTP electric cut out down pipe mated to an catback with a hfc and a real muffler would be the dream set up in my opinon. Everyday driving you would be stealth. Just get the car all tuned with the cut out open and then just dont put the hammer down when your driving around normally. Then when its time to kill flip the switch and let her rip.
2.) Get a resonated off road cat or what ever they call thouse things and see how that sounds if its not quit enough yet go with the magnaflow BR muffler section good sound and not too loud.
