I'm curious as well. Does the evo use the typical "green" engine coolant that is found over the counter at parts stores. I know GM uses Dexcool and Toyota uses red coolant. I don't know if Mitsubishi uses a different type of coolant or does the basic green coolant compatable.

Bump for you.

I just use $10 green coolant from Pepboys.
50/50 prestone pre-mixed.
400whp, every year for 5 years.
Sometimes there's a rebate too...

OEM is good too...

I've used Prestone, and the Supertech Walmart brand. It's like $7- $9 for a gallon.

I'm using the search tab, but can someone confirm a question for me...

It seems like my coolant level is like mid Full (---Coolant---) Low
Should I fill some in just incase??? Also should I flush all of it out then put in new coolant or can I buy over the counter Long life Coolant 50/50 can add it in??? Because the coolant in my tank looks blue I don't want to mess up anything if that is something you don't do...

My friend works at pepboys and he told me when mine was in the middle to fill it up. It wont hurt anything to fill it up so i say just fill it to the full line
