O2 dump will be better than a recirculated O2....
turbos don't like back pressure...and jamming those wastegate gases back into the exhaust causes back pressure....
less back pressure = quicker spool up

extra hole? are you talkin about the QTP Dump?
the bung or "hole" that's in the O2 dump is for your front O2 sensor....
widebands are recommended to be at least 36 inches from the turbo...
although you can make the sensor for the wideband closer to the turbo but that will shorten the life of the sensor

on the qtp there should only be one bung and that bung is to replace your original o2 sensor back. your wideband if you want one should be installed on the downpipe as far away to the turbo as possible..i installed mine right before the test pipe. Also qtp ftw!

Just keep in mind an o2 dump is an illegal item in PA. It's like running an open header and will not pass state safety inspection. If you got a "connection" thats cool, but a by-the-book guy will not pass it and take a chance to loose his license.
